As a result of the Alptransit project, the old family farming concern was expropriated and rebuilt nearby.
The design consists of four structures, built around a patio and connected by a portico: a compact and unitary design inserted in the orthogonal layout of the Magadino Plain which recalls the design of the old farmhouses in the Po Valley.
The living quarters are situated in the three smaller buildings whilst the large building which faces the greenhouses is used for keeping agricultural machinery.
The modular structure of the façades, made with corrugated elements framed with smooth panels, recalls farm buildings in Lombardy with their terracotta chequered pillars.
