The final two blocks of the “Ai Salici” residential complex were completed more than ten years after the construction of the first two. During the intervening period, the evolution of building regulations, compliance with updated construction standards, and new requirements from the client necessitated a substantial redesign of the original project.
Key changes to the initial layout include the addition of a basement, the inclusion of an attic floor, and the construction of two studio apartments on the ground floor, facing directly onto the internal courtyards.
Despite these updates, the conceptual framework and town-planning vision bahind the original neighborhood design have been fully preserved.
